In many industrial companies, process heat is the largest energy consumer, and it is mostly generated with natural gas. Which route away from gas fits depends above all on the temperature:
- Up to around 200 °C, high-temperature heat pumps are commercially available today and often the most cost-effective solution, especially where waste heat can be used.
- Above that, electrode boilers, electric furnaces and thermal storage come into play, holding cheap electricity in reserve as heat.
- At very high temperatures, biomethane or green hydrogen are additional options.
For the waste heat from your thermal processes, we look for further uses, inside or outside your company, in order to unlock energy savings.
In coordination with your technology suppliers, we identify the technically and economically best solution: process heat that costs less, responds flexibly to cheap electricity prices thanks to thermal storage, no longer depends on the gas price and is CO₂-free.
